St Anthony spies handmade baby quilt!

Jeanne hand-made this quilt for her niece's son. The design is called “Eye Spy” . . . it’s meant for the parents and baby to play the “I spy with my little eye” game, so it has many juvenile fabrics in it with lots of colorful pictures.

A 'message' to St. Anthony 'found' this lost quilt.
~

Last summer I handmade a baby quilt for our niece’s second baby.  After he was born in August, I mailed the quilt to their address in Virginia.  Unknown to us, they had moved to a new address without leaving a forwarding address.  Their usual mailman knew to pass mail on to them but a fill-in postman left the box on the porch of the old address.

I learned in late September that our niece never received the box.  I was heart sick.  Three long distance calls to the post office in Virginia could not locate the box.  I was praying to my go-to guy, St. Anthony, with little result.

In mid-October, when I renewed my St. Anthony Messenger subscription, I wrote in the prayer request section: ‘find handmade baby quilt lost in the mail.”

On the Saturday after New Year’s, my niece posted a photo on Facebook that the quilt had been found and delivered.

St. Anthony came through again.

Thank you,
Jeanne B.
